# Process — Neon Forge

How we build. We approach projects like systems, not tasks. Every build starts with structure, not code. Small team. Clear constraints. Deliberate execution.

## 01 — Frame

Define the system before touching it. Before we write code, we define the boundaries. What is the real surface area? What decisions matter long term? Where does complexity belong — and where should it be removed?

We clarify:

- Core constraints
- Ownership model
- Maintenance surface
- Economic or structural incentives (if applicable)

Good systems begin with clean framing.

## 02 — Design

Design for durability. Architecture that survives iteration:

- Minimal surface area
- Clear separation of concerns
- Avoiding accidental coupling
- Choosing tools intentionally, not trend-first

Clever fades. Structure remains.

## 03 — Build

Ship in focused cycles. Tight loops. No sprawling feature dumps. No invisible months of development.

- Clear milestones
- Small, testable releases
- Direct feedback
- Visible progress

## 04 — Test

Pressure-test the mechanism. Especially in protocol, economic, or system-heavy projects.

- What breaks under scale?
- Where do incentives misalign?
- What happens when assumptions fail?

A system that only works in perfect conditions is not finished.

## 05 — Iterate

Refine intentionally. Once live, the goal is not expansion — it is refinement. Remove friction, simplify flows, strengthen architecture, resist unnecessary growth. Great systems evolve. They do not sprawl.

## Why this works

Because we operate platforms ourselves, we care about operational simplicity, real maintenance cost, long-term survivability, and independence from fragile tooling.
